Leipert Motorsport, the Wegberg-based team supported by MOTUL, will be competing with three cars in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2024 and is highly motivated in the fight to defend its title. After intensive preparation and successful tests, the majority of the drivers who will represent the team in the coming season have been finalised.
In the PRO class, the duo Jacob Riegel and Sebastian Balthasar will compete for Leipert Motorsport with the Lamborghini #70. The 19-year-old Jacob Riegel (D) brings experience from the DTM Trophy, the GTWC and the Asian Le Mans Series. The 27-year-old Sebastian Balthasar (D), who has already been successful for three years in the LST Europe and the Italian GT Championship, is returning to Leipert Motorsport after two years. Together, the two youngsters form a strong team that is already well prepared for the season.
Another highlight is the US duo Anthony McIntosh and Glenn McGee, the reigning AM champions of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America 2023. 49-year-old McIntosh (USA) and McGee (USA) have decided to continue their success in the LST Europe and will drive the Lamborghini #99 for Leipert Motorsport. They are also returning to the team after an endurance race for the team in the 2022 24h Series and will contest the LST North America in addition to races in the LST Europe.
The remaining driver line-up for the Lamborghini #88 will be announced shortly.
