After a successful start at the “Road to Le Mans” as part of the Michelin Le Mans Cup 2022, Leipert Motorsport will make its debut in the Asian Le Mans Series 2023 with a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO.
The drivers who will pilot the Huracán GT3 in the four ALMS races in Dubai (11-12.02.23) and Abu Dhabi (18-19.02.23) are Leipert Motorsport regulars Brendon Leitch (NZ) and Gabriel Rindone (IT), as well as Lamborghini factory driver Marco Mapelli (IT).
To which Marcel Leipert & Marc Poos add:
“Our debut in the Asian Le Mans Series will be a good start for the 2023 season, as we will be participating in the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup, among others. We are extremely satisfied and competitive with the driver line-up for the ALMS. Our goal in the two intensive weeks in February will be to celebrate a successful debut in the ALMS and to secure podium finishes.
In this context, we are of course also very happy for the support we receive from Lamborghini. Since the existence of the motorsport division “Squadra Corse”, we have successfully worked together and in a spirit of trust, are delighted about the current developments and prospects.”
After a successful shakedown of the newly built car, the shipment of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO and equipment to the Middle East for the Asian Le Mans Series will get underway, shortly before Christmas.
Preview for the coming weeks:
On 27 November, the MOTUL-supported Leipert Motorsport team will travel to Kuwait for the 12h race (30.11.-02.12.22) and at the beginning of January to the Emirates for the 24h race in Dubai (13.-15.01.23) and the 6h Abu Dhabi (20.-21.01.23) as part of the 24h Series with a Lamborghini Super Trofeo EVO.
