GT OPEN

The series

In 2019, the International GT Open celebrated its 200th race, confirming its position as one of the leading Pro-Am racing platforms in Europe. It will start its 19th season in 2024.

The series was created in 2006 by GT Sport and former sports car driver Jesús Pareja, following the launch of the GT Sport single-seater series, now known as Euroformula. Since its inception, the International GT Open has continued to grow in size and become one of the best platforms for Pro and Am GT racing in the world, thanks to a stable set of rules, economical cost structures, quality television coverage and world-class venues.

The strengths of the GT Open include the highest level of performance for GT3 cars, an unbeatable cost/revenue ratio and the introduction of a time handicap system to equalize performance, rather than complex and costly technical measures.
